Ben Shelton shows idol Rafael Nadal no mercy! Dismantles his record before AO 2024

Young tennis sensation Ben Shelton has beaten Rafael Nadal! Before you get too excited, Shelton’s win over Nadal did not come on the tennis court, but during a fun tennis challenge.

Shelton beat his idol Nadal in the ‘grip challenge’. The 21-year-old took part in the challenge during the now-concluded Brisbane International.

Nadal had taken part in the challenge before his quarterfinal loss to Jordan Thompson and finished the challenge in 25 seconds.

In a video uploaded by the tournament on their X (formerly Twitter) account, Ben Shelton was competing to break Andy Murray’s record of 11 seconds.

Given how their rackets are the most important thing for a tennis player, gripping them should prove to be a piece of cake for a professional tennis player. However, not all players are as good.

Ben Shelton managed to finish the challenge in 16 seconds, much faster than his idol Nadal did. However, Shelton wasn’t happy with his effort and labeled it “terrible.”.
