Bangladesh are looking to shake their tag as underachievers when they begin their ICC Men’s T20 World Cup campaign in West Indies and USA. Despite being ever-presents at the tournament since its first staging in 2007, the Bangla Tigers have won just nine of their 38 matches.
This might be the last time that the Bangladeshi fans will be seeing their veteran Shakib al Hasan playing in a World Cup. The Bangladesh Cricket team will be hoping to give the veteran a fitting farewell after winning the T20 World Cup this year.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh are placed in Group D alongside South Africa, Sri Lanka, Netherlands and Nepal. Bangladesh will kick-start their campaign against Sri Lanka on June 7 (Friday). On the other hand, the Bangla Tigers will face Nepal in their final group stage match of the T20 World Cup on June 16 (Sunday).
