The India Cricket Team inflicted a sensation clean sweep of 3-0 against the Afghans in the IND vs AFG T20I series. A crucial point for India’s success was fielding. And star Indian player Virat Kohli bagged the best fielder meal for his on-field antics, especially in the IND vs AFG 3rd T20I.
Athleticism with awareness is what India’s fielding coach T Dilip pointed out as the crucial pointers which helped Kohli bag the medal. It is also to be noted that Kohli was not a part of the team in the first game. He played the last 2 matches after making a comeback into the shortest format after a span of 14 months.

The BCCI posted a video that showcased the Indian dressing room after India’s series victory. Fielding coach T Dilip congratulated the team for the win and then went on to heap praises for Kohli and Rinku Singh who were the nominees for the fielder of the tournament.

“This guy has shown time and again in split-second decision making. The way he keeps coming, saving runs, putting dives, going for hotspots, you can’t take your eyes off Virat Kohli. He took 2 medals in World Cup. He wanted to be best in the World Cup and he showed that,” said the Indian fielding coach.
“This is the intensity the man gives to the team. He does his job so well and inspires everyone. It is a great opportunity to play alongside him. I would like the other youngsters to and start replicating the half of what he does, the whole team will look different,”
“Well done guys. When we show athleticism in the field with awareness we can make a lot of difference. I give credit to each and everyone,” said T Dilip.
The Indian fielding coach lavished praises for Rinku Singh. “I think your athleticism has been outstanding.”
