Bishan Singh Bedi: The legendary left-arm spinner died at the age of 77 on October 23 in Delhi. The former Indian skipper is touted as one of the best spinners of all time. After his 13-year illustrious career (1966–79), Bedi went on to become India’s chief selector and coach.
Bobby Charlton, a football great who won the FIFA World Cup and the Ballon d’Or in 1966, died on October 23. Despite these accomplishments, the English footballer was best known as one of the survivors of the Munich air disaster. Charlton was the lone survivor of the disaster before his death.
Tori Bowie: A track and field athlete who left the world at the age of 32. Tori had won three medals at the 2016 Rio Olympics and three medals at the World Championships (2017 and 2015). The star athlete died on April 23 due to complications related to childbirth.
