Ashmita Chaliha stuns former world no.1 Nozomi Okuhara in Badminton Asia Team Championships

India’s Ashmita Chaliha ousted Japan’s Nozomi Okuhara in the semifinals of the Badminton Asia Team Championships Women’s Singles. Ashmita beat the former World Number 1 in straight sets winning 21-17 and 21-14 to give India the 2-1 lead in the tie as they eye their way into the final of the continental showpiece.
