Aaron Finch confirms BBL 13 ‘most likely’ to be his last season

Former Australia captain Aaron Finch confirmed that the 13th edition of the Big Bash League (BBL) is “most likely” will be his last season.

The former Renegades’ skipper who re-joined the squad after recovering from back soreness, confirmed in a dug-out interview during Renegades vs Adelaide Strikers game on Friday.

The interviewer asked if the BBL 13 would potentially be Finch’s last season.

“Most likely yes, I would say very likely yes”, Finch replied.

Earlier this year, Aaron Finch announced his retirement from international cricket.

Winless in five matches, Renegades needed a win to stay alive in the competition and they managed to do that by beating Strikers by 4 wickets.

Chasing 178, Jake Fraser-McGurk (70) and Shaun Marsh (50) scored fiftied to power Renegades to a much-needed win.

Renegades will next face Melbourne Stars on January 2 at MCG.
