The Pro Kabaddi League is on its business end. Four teams remain out of the initial 12. Puneri Paltan, Jaipur Pink Panthers, Patna Pirates and Haryana Steelers will fight it out among themselves for a spot in the final. The Puneri Paltan will take on Patna Pirates in the first semi-final while the Jaipur Pink Panthers will clash head on with the Haryana Steelers in the second.
Puneri Paltan showed off their strength by topping the table during the league stage, where they dominated. They won 17 of their 22 games and only suffered 2 losses to earn an incredible 96 points. Their resolute determination and strategic gameplay are evident in this outstanding performance. This time around, the Pune-based team is determined to win the championship after being second the previous year.
However, the three-time champion Patna Pirates set out on a somewhat different path. They were placed sixth at the end of the league stage. They did, however, prove their resiliency by defeating Dabang Delhi, who were ranked third, in a thrilling Eliminator 1 match to advance to the semi-finals.
To talk about the second semi-final, the Panthers have lost just three matches in the whole season, while the Steelers have lost eight of their 22 group-stage matches. Panthers also have the upper hand in their overall head-to-head. They lead HS 9-3, with two matches ending in a tie in 14 matches.
