Virat Kohli ‘arrives at 100%’, shakes off concerns over form for 2027 World Cup with 76th ODI fifty

India cricket team star Virat Kohli’s sublime form in the 50-over format continues as he scored yet another half-century in the IND vs SA 1st ODI in Ranchi. The number three batter hammered a fifty off 48 deliveries as he piled up more misery on the South African bowlers on Sunday. Kohli’s fifty comes at a time when there are speculations over his future o. ODIs, given his age and the rumours over his availability for the World Cup in 2027.

Virat Kohli has still got it

Kohli reached his 76th ODI fifty in style with a six off Bosch in the 18th over. He has struck four sixes and fours each en route to this fifty. After suffering two consecutive ducks in the first two ODIs against Australia, Kohli bounced back to form with an unbeaten knock in the 3rd ODI and his fine form spilled over in the IND vs SA 1st ODI.

“You get stronger, mentally and physically by putting in the work. It’s a constant process everyday in your life and it’s not just cricket. Look, I’ve been very sure of the fact that when I make myself available to play, I give my 100%.capacity. That’s how I have always played my cricket. I’ve never arrived to a series at 95%,” Kohli said.
