The Women’s Premier League (WPL) is gearing up for its first-ever mega auction, and the excitement is at an all-time high. Despite announcing their retentions, teams will rebuild almost from scratch. The stakes are high, with many top names in the auction pool and all five franchises fighting to strengthen their squads.
The auction will be held on November 27, 2025, in New Delhi, starting at 3:30 PM IST, and it will be the biggest step towards shaping squads for the new season beginning in January. With 277 players registered and purse space varying massively between teams, it would be interesting to see if any player would break the Rs 3 crore barrier.
