TNPL Auction 2024: India cap Sai Kishore & Sanjay Yadav become joint most-expensive players

It is raining money at the TNPL Auctions 2024, as India player R Sai Kishore became the most expensive player in tournament history on Wednesday. The left-arm bowler was bagged for INR 22 lakh by Tiruppur Tamizhans, after a close bidding war. Thatโ€™s not it. Soon after Sai Kishore went at that price, Sanjay Yadav R bagged the same price and was sold to Trichy Grand Cholas for INR 22 lakh as well.

Last year, during the TNPL Auction 2024, Sai Sudarshan had become the most expensive buy of the tournament, after he was bought for 21.6 lakh by Kovai Kings. Interestingly, Sanjay Yadav was the second-most expensive player in 2023, after he was bought for INR 17.6 lakh by Chepauk Super Gillies.

Meanwhile, Chepauk is the most successful team in the TNPL, having won the tournament four times.
