PBKS predicted playing XI vs MI: No Chahal as Iyer & co eye top spot

Punjab Kings will be aiming to go to the top of the IPL 2025 points table with a win against MI in their final group stage game. PBKS faced a setback in their previous game as they were handed a 6-wicket defeat by DC. Shreyas Iyer and co. will be desperate to return to winning ways, especially just before the IPL 2025 playoffs.

Spinner Yuzvendra Chahal is likely to miss the all-important clash against MI. He was dropped from the playing XI for the game against DC. Following that, reports of the spinner having sustained a wrist injury emerged. Chahal has taken 14 wickets from 12 matches in IPL 2025.

In his absence, PBKS will turn to Harpreet Brar to spearhead the spin unit. The pace department will be spearheaded by Arshdeep, with Jamieson playing second fiddle.

While skipper Iyer and opener Prabhsimran have been consistent in this season so far, the focus will be on Priyansh and Wadhera to convert their good starts into big scores. Notably, Shreyas has already scored five half-centuries in this season, the most for him in any edition.

Vijaykumar Vyshak is expected to come in as the impact player if PBKS will be bowling second.
