England’s plan to play all-spin attack against India in IND vs ENG 2nd Test in Visakhapatnam is in jeopardy as their most experienced spinner, Jack Leach is likely to miss the Vizag Test, starting on February 2.
Leach did not take part in England’s net session in Visakhapatnam on Wednesday was in the ground to be with medical team for his left knee injury.
Leach sustained the injury while fielding on the first day of Hyderabad Test. However, the spinner still played a part in the game which further aggravated his issue.
Leach failing to recover on time could be a big blow for Brendon McCullum and Co. who were planning an all-spin attack on a potential turning track in Vizag.
With Leach likely to miss out, young spinner Shoaib Bashir is set to receive his Test cap in the second Test.

Earlier, head coach McCullum has hinted that the team might go with all-spin attack in Vizag.
“We won’t be afraid to play all spinners if the wickets will turn more,” McCullum said on SENZ Radio.
It will be interesting to see if the visitors will continue with Mark Wood for the second Test or bring in veteran pacer James Anderson against a struggling Indian batting line-up.
