Mitchell Marsh continued his rich vein of form for the Lucknow Super Giants. The Australian, who was ignored for the WTC final squad, smashed his 5th half-century of IPL 2025 in a stunning assault against SRH. One of the highlights from the LSG vs SRH clash was Marsh’s six-hitting, leaving a dent on the Curvv car on display.

Mitchell Marsh picked up from where he left off in Lucknow on Monday. Alongside Aiden Markram, Marsh put on a show for the crowd at the Ekana Stadium. The duo stitched a century partnership to put the hosts on top in a must-win LSG vs SRH clash. The Australian smashed a stunning 65 off just 39 balls, his fifth half-century of the tournament.
Marsh smashed six fours and 4 sixes in his stay at the crease. The biggest highlight was his six off Eshan Malinga in the final over of the powerplay. With it being the last over of the powerplay, Marsh threw the kitchen sink at it. The Australian cleared the the midwicket fence and hit the Tata Curvv car on display at the Ekana.
Marsh’s statement of intent
Mitchell Marsh is LSG’s leading run-getter this season, scoring 443 in 11 innings in IPL 2025. He has struck at 157.09 and has been a lynchpin for the franchise at the top of the order. Facing Test captain Pat Cummins, Marsh made a statement of intent after being dropped from the WTC squad.
The 31-year-old was dropped midway in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy against India, being replaced by Beau Webster. Webster and Cameron Green have made the cut, with the latter, only featuring as a batter.
