Kohli stands tall on Delhi return
In the reverse fixture at Bengaluru, KL Rahul smashed match winning 93. Rahul celebrated in gusto, claiming that the Chinnaswamy was his home turf. Even after the game, the former RCB star said that it was his home ground and he knew it better than anyone else.
Kohli, always up for the challenge, responded in style at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. A homeboy, the RCB legend composed a typical display of controlled aggression on Sunday. With RCB in tatters after Axar Patel’s spell, the 36-year-old guided his side to a winning position.
Kohli started slow after Axar Patel got rid of both Jacob Bethell and Devdutt Padikkal in quick succession. With Rajat Patidar also run out, the onus was on the 33-year-old to guide his team to victory. Virat joined hands with Krunal Pandya to stitch a vital game changing stand at the Kotla.
