On Sunday (April 27), during MI’s 10th league match of the season against Lucknow Super Giants at Wankhede Stadium, he surpassed Kieron Pollard’s record to become the second-highest run scorer for Mumbai Indians in the history of the IPL.
The six off Avesh’s delivery also marked Suryakumar Yadav’s 26th half-century in the IPL for Mumbai Indians, and his third of the current season. With 427 runs from 10 matches in IPL 2025, he now leads the Orange Cap race.
