Six wins out of nine matches played, and Virat Kohli & Rajat Patidar’s RCB are well on their way to making the IPL 2025 playoffs. Just about everything is clicking for them — Kohli along with Padikkal and Patidar have been in good form, while Josh Hazlewood, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Krunal Pandya have taken care of the bowling — along with their regular impact sub Suyash Sharma.
Now, the team faces DC in their 10th match on Sunday at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, and once again, the key will be, what playing XI does RCB go with.
Virat Kohli & Phil Salt on Top
Delhi have been brilliant in their bowling and RCB batters could face a tough challenge. But what really works well for them is the explosive/conservative duo of Virat and Salt. While the latter is most likely to go for the kill, the Indian batter will take his time; in short the duo compliment each other quite well. In 9 matches Virat has 392 runs and has already scored five fifties in the tournament.
Brilliant Krunal Pandya & Suyash Sharma
Even though Suyash has four wickets in eight matches, he has managed to contain the runs, and his economy is 8.29. On the other hand, Krunal Pandya has 12 wickets in 8 matches, and has been economical too. IF they bowl well in tandem, middle-overs is where RCB can hope for a lot of wickets.
If one has to be precise, this combination has been producing the results for RCB, and they should continue to play the same XI.
RCB Predicted XI vs DC
Phil Salt, Virat Kohli, Devdutt Padikkal, Rajat Patidar (C), Romario Shepherd, Jitesh Sharma (WK), Tim David, Krunal Pandya, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Josh Hazlewood, and Yash Dayal.
Impact Player – Suyash Sharma.
