The BCCI finally on Monday announced the much-awaited the central contracts list for 2024-25 season. As per a release by the board, as expected, the top-tier A+ remains unchanged, including players like Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah, Ravindra Jadeja and Rohit Sharma, while Shreyas Iyer makes a comeback in Grade B, after being ignored last time. Rishabh Pant, a vital member of the Indian team, has been promoted to Grade A.
Shreyas Iyer in Grade B, Rishabh Pant Promoted to A
Last time around, Mohammed Siraj, R Ashwin, Mohammed Shami, KL Rahul, Shubman Gill, and Hardik Pandya were in Grade A, while this time around, Ashwin, after his retirement has gone out of the list. As for the Grade B, Except for the inclusion of Shreyas, there is no change.
Ishan Kishan Makes a Comeback Too
In Grade C, Avesh Khan and Jitesh Sharma have been overlooked, while Ishan Kishan has made a comeback. The new entrants are Nitish Kumar Reddy, Abhishek Sharma, Akash Deep and Varun Chakravarthy. The Annual Player Contracts are applicable from October 1, 2024 to September 30, 2025.
