SRH’s Adam Zampa ruled out of IPL 2025 due to injury, Smaran Ravichandran named as replacement

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) have been forced to make change to their squad for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season. Their overseas spinner Adam Zampa will leave the team and travel back to Australia. The leg spinner has suffered an injury. The update was provided by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) before SRH’s match against Mumbai Indians on April 17.

Who is Smaran Ravichandran?

Karnataka’s Smaran Ravichandran has been named as Zampa’s replacement. The 21-year-old is a left-handed middle order batter, who made his domestic debut last year and has performance exceptionally in all three formats. Smaran has played 7 First-Class, 10 List A matches and 6 T20s matches for Karnataka.

He’s joined SRH at an price of Rs 30 lakh for the remainder of the IPL 2025 season.
