He should play at least 2-3 seasons: Deepak Chahar hopeful to see ‘elder brother’ MS Dhoni continue in IPL

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) pacer Deepak Chahar has hailed skipper MS Dhoni and claimed that the former India captain can play in IPL for at least 2-3 seasons.

“He has recovered well. For me personally, he should play for another 2-3 years. (But) it’s his call. He told everyone he is going to play his last game in Chennai. I think he will only decide”, Chahar told PTI.

The 31-year-old pacer also opined that Dhoni should not take added responsibility in the CSK setup and must “enjoy”.

“He should not be taking it at this time because it is the end of his career. He should be enjoying not taking responsibility and pressure for the team”, Deepak Chahar further added.

Chahar further credited his success to MS Dhoni and said that he got the chance to play for India because the CSK skipper trusted him to play all games in IPL.

“I would say because of him only I got a chance to play for India because before that, he gave me a really big chance to play all the 14 games in IPL. In 2018, I played all the 14 games”, the CSK pacer added.
