JioCinema already live streams Indian Premier League in 11 regional languages other than English. Haryanvi could make a new addition.
Regional languages in IPL 2023 earned immense praise, especially Bhojpuri. Similarly, Punjabi too was a popular language to watch IPL commentary. Haryanvi could be the most sought-after in IPL.
“Candidates to possess good to expert understanding of cricket (IPL cricket) | Their Resume reflects the experience of having worked on cricketing events, preferably on the broadcast side (Live or Non-Live),” Viacom18 Sports’ job description for Haryanvi producer read.

However, at this stage, it is only an assumption and there has been no confirmation from Sports18 on the same. InsideSport tried reaching out to Viacom18 but could not get a confirmation.

Haryanvi is already a popular language in North India. And if it is added as a commentary language, it could boost JioCinema’s popularity and reach in IPL 17. There has been a demand from fans to add Haryanvi as commentary language. Now, JioCinema might just bow down to fans’ demand.
