IPL 2025’s opener between KKR and RCB proved to be a one-sided affair in the end, as new skipper Rajat Patidar’s team completed the victory in with seven wickets and 22 deliveries to spare. After being set a target of 175, Phil Salt’s 56, and Virat Kohli’s 59 ensured that their team raced past the boundary line with utmost ease. Yes, there were brilliant batting performances in KKR batting camp too, but all in vain.

Sunil Narine was explosive at the start of the innings, and galloped his way through 44 from 26, while skipper Ajinkya Rahane smashed 56 from 31. All these men lay a claim on the IPL 2025 Orange Cap. On the other hand, Krunal Pandya and Josh Hazlewood were the best bowlers on the day, and were the top two players in the race to IPL 2025 Purple Cap winners, after the 1st match.
