The 2025 Badminton Asia Mixed Team Championships is all set to start on 11th February in Qingdao, Shandong Province, China. This premier Asian tournament will go till 16th February. This tournament is huge because teams from all over the Asian continent take part in this competition. This year, the Indian team will be eyeing a better finish than their bronze medal conclusion at the Dubai in 2023. India is having a setback as ace shuttler PV Sindhu is not travelling this time as she sustained a hamstring injury during a pre-tournament training camp in Guwahati.
Asia Mixed Team Championships format
12 teams and Nations divided into four groups will be playing group stage games in a round-robin format first; the top two from each of the four groups will be playing in the knockouts. India is placed in ground D along with South Korea and Macau. In one match, all games, including men’s and women’s singles & doubles and mixed doubles will be played. The team with the most wins in the five matches will be the winner and gain points.

India’s performance so far
India has only won 1 bronze in the five editions. The best finish came in Dubai 2023, where India won bronze; remember both the semifinalists get a bronze medal even in the case of losing. China tops the medal table with two golds and one bronze so far. Japan is in second position with one gold and one silver.
