India skipper Rohit Sharma heaped praise on spinner Ravichandran Ashwin and pacer Mohammed Siraj ahead of the IND vs ENG 1st Test. Sharma and co wil lock horns with the visitors in a five-match Test series commencing from January 25.
IND vs ENG: Skipper hails Ashwin’s class, Siraj’s record
Ahead of the 1st Test in Hyderabad, skipper Rohit Sharma appreciated Ashwin’s class, noting that the spinner was impressive whenever he took the field. The Hitman commended home town hero Siraj as well, noting that he had broken through the ranks over the last couple of years to establish himself in the Test side.
“Ashwin & Siraj have been important players for us. Siraj has come through the ranks in the last two years, he has taken his game to another level. Ashwin is class, every time he takes the field he impresses all of us,” Sharma said at the pre-match press conference.
