England head coach Brendon McCullum acknowledged India as a ‘land of opportunity’ and hinted at ‘brave’ selections ahead of IND vs ENG Test series. India will take on the visitors in a five-match series starting with the 1st Test in Hyderabad from January 25 onwards.

Speaking at a press conference ahead of the 1st Test, Bazball principal McCullum advocated for the side to be brave in their selection process. Labeling India as a ‘land of opportunity’, the England coach said that they wanted to take the positive option in front of them. He added that he wants his side to be the bravest and that it should be reflected in the selection.
“What balance we go for in terms of the side we’ll work out in the coming days, but the thing we need to be is really brave with whatever we decide,” McCullum said.
“India is the land of opportunity and that’s what sits in front of us now, we’ll take the positive option.”
“Other teams might be better, but we want to be the bravest. We’ve got to do that and that’s got to be factored into selection, too.”
