Orange Cap is one of the prestigious awards in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Australian opener Shaun Marsh who was roped in by Kings XI Punjab in the 2008 IPL, was the first player to win the award. On the other hand, Shubman Gill is the latest player to join the prestigious club.
Shubman Gill (Gujarat Titans)
Current Gujarat Titans skipper, Shubman Gill amassed 890 runs in just 17 games in IPL 2023. He also smashed three hundreds and four fifties. The right-handed batter is certainly a prime contender to win the Orange Cap in the IPL 2024.
Quinton de Kock (Lucknow Super Giants)
Quinton de Kock joined Lucknow Super Giants in IPL 2022 accounting for 508 runs, including a superb unbeaten century against the Kolkata Knight Riders. The Southpaw has great front-foot play and executes perfect shots through the leg side. Already done with Test and ODI formats, De Kock will be free from his burdens and look to continue his excellent run in the IPL.
Yashasvi Jaiswal (Rajasthan Royals)
Yashasvi Jaiswal smashed the fastest fifty in IPL history in 2023. He scored the fifty off just 13 balls. The left-handed batter had a great time in the 2023 season, where he amassed 625 runs with one century and five half-centuries to his name.

KL Rahul (Lucknow Super Giants)
No cricketer in the history of the IPL has been as consistent as KL Rahul. He debuted in IPL in 2013, but his best came in the subsequent years. Leading Lucknow Super Giants in the upcoming IPL 2024, the senior batter will look to have another good outing with the bat in the franchise-based league.
Ruturaj Gaikwad (Chennai Super Kings)
Chennai Super Kings opener Ruturaj Gaikwad has been a proven performer in the Indian Premier League. The right-handed batter takes his time to settle down at the wicket but can be very lethal once set in the death overs.
