Major embarrassment for Pakistan cricketer, returns home without playing a BPL game

In a strange turn of events, Pakistan wicket-keeper batsman Mohammad Haris has returned home without playing a match in the Bangladesh Premier League, after the PCB denied him an NOC. As per a report in ESPNCricinfo, Haris, who was part of the Chattogram Challengers, had already played two overseas T20 tournaments — between July 2023 and July 2024, the maximum allowed by the PCB, in a year.

Haris, after the entire episode, thanked the BCB, for taking care of him. “Thank you, Chattogram team management and the BCB for taking care of me and giving me this opportunity,” he said. “I also flew in on time to prepare myself to give some great games to my fans in Bangladesh. Unfortunately, my NOC was not issued. Hence, I will not play any games.
