Former Indian cricketer and commentator, Aakash Chopra, has recognized that Indian wicketkeeper-batter Sanju Samson is not receiving enough opportunities in the Indian cricket team.
Notably, Samson, who was kept on bench for the first two IND vs AFG T20Is, returned to XI for the third and final game but failed make his mark as he got dismissed on a golden duck.
Talking on his YouTube channel, Aakash Chopra said: “Let’s be honest, it was a poor shot. He will be disappointed with that shot. But yes, he is not getting enough chances. If he is a serious contender [for T20 World Cup], then he should get more opportunities. “

Aakash Chopra also suggested that Samson should look to bat in middle order for Rajasthan Royals in the IPL 2024 to be stake claim for T20 World Cup spot.
“If Sanju Samson starts batting in middle order for Rajasthan Royals then he is a real contender. But he should bat at 4 or down the order. If he bats at top 3, then he is not a contender”, Chopra further added.
