Despite their utmost efforts, the Indian women’s hockey team concludes the Olympic qualifiers for the 2024 Games with a loss to Japan. Unfortunately, this marks the end of their Olympic dream, with no representation from India in the women’s field hockey event at the Paris 2024 Olympics. The Indian women’s team had finished fourth in the Tokyo Olympics. The fans were left ‘heartbroken’ following the loss, as they took to Twitter to express their feelings.
Heartbroken! From the fairytale semifinal finish at Tokyo to missing out on a spot for Paris… they came so close so many times… just couldn’t get over the line. This would be a tough one to take for the Indian women’s hockey team.#FIHOlympicQualifiers

Sad day for Women’s Hockey after qualifying for two back to back Olympics games we couldn’t qualify for Paris 2024 as we against Japan in bronze medal match. In Tokyo they fought very hard but couldn’t get the medal.
