Another day, another record for Novak Djokovic. When the 24-time Grand Slam champion takes the court against Tomas Martin Etcheverry for his third-round match at the Australian Open 2024, he will become the first man in the Open Era to play at least 100 matches in all four Grand Slams.

100 – This will be Novak Djokovic’s 100th match at the Australian Open, becoming the only men’s player in the Open Era to appear in 100+ matches in all four Grand Slams events. Centennial.#AusOpen | @AustralianOpen @atptour pic.twitter.com/K4nLqGbmYt

By taking the court today, Djokovic will have played 412 matches across all four slams. Although he does not hold the record for playing the most matches at any of the slams, he has now become the first man to play 100 matches at each slam.

In comparison to his main rivals, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal, Djokovic is ahead. While Federer holds the record for most wins and most matches played at Grand Slams, he failed to play 100 matches at the French Open.

Nadal, on the other hand, has played over 100 matches at just one Slam, the French Open. There, he has played 115 matches, compared to Djokovic’s 108, and has a mind-boggling 92.7 win percentage.
