Three fifties on trot, one series on rocks: Babar Azam shines, Pakistan sink in 3rd NZ vs PAK T20I

Former Pakistan skipper Babar Azam’s fine form in the shortest format continued as he smashed his third consecutive fifty in the NZ vs PAK T20I series. Having scored half-centuries in Auckland and Hamilton, Azam brought up a fighting fifty in Dunedin as Pakistan chased a mammoth total.

Although Azam played a slow-paced innings not befitting of the run-chase that was required, he remained the lone warrior for the side. His knock was studded with eight boundaries and one six. The curtains were brought down on his innings eventually by Ish Sodi, courtesy of a catch from Glenn Philips.
