Legendary India spinner Ravichandran Ashwin announced his retirement from the international cricket in Brisbane. The shocking announcement came after the third Test between India and Australia ended in a draw on Day 5 at The Gabba.
Ashwin has not been the part of India playing XI, as his performance dipped lately. It inspired him to say goodbye to the game.
The India stalwarts Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are, more or less, on the same page. They aren’t performing, their form is going through a lean patch since long. Rohit has scored 607 runs at the average of 26.39 while Virat has accumulated 376 at mere 25.06 in 2024. Many experts believe it’s the time for them to follow the Ashwin’s footprint.
