West Indies’ Romario Shepherd pulled off a stunning catch at midwicket during SA20 2024 match between Joburg Super Kings and Durban Super Giants at Kingsmead Stadium on Monday.
The breathtaking moment came in the penultimate delivery of fourth over. Joburg’s Nandre Burger bowled on a short of a length and Durban’s Matthew Breetzke played a short-arm pull but Romario leapt and stretched his right hand across to pluck the ball out of thin air.
Talking about the game, Heinrich Klaasen’s 64-run knock helped Durban Super Giants post 145/8 in 20 overs. Lizaad Williams was the pick of the bowlers for the Joburg Super Kings with a 4 wicket haul.
With two wins out of two games, the Durban Super Giants are top of the table with 8 points. Meanwhile, Joburg Super Kings would be aiming to chase down the target to register their first win of the campaign.
