The 10th season of the Bangladesh Premier League 2024 will take place from January 19 to March 1. The tournament’s first match will be played at Durdanto Dhaka versus the reigning champion Comilla Victorians in Mirpur, one of the three venues along with Chattogram and Sylhet.
The BPL 2024 will include the following five teams in addition to the two mentioned above: Fortune Barishal, Chattogram Challengers, Rangpur Riders, Sylhet Strikers, and Khulna Tigers.

Mushfiqur Rahim (Fortune Bairshal)
Mushfiqur, a former captain of Bangladesh, joined Barishal this year from Sylhet and will take over as captain in place of Shakib Al Hasan. He has scored 5,381 runs at a strike rate of 126 from 257 T20 outings, along with 190 wickets lost.
Shuvagata Hom (Chattogram Challengers)
All-round batter Hom, who has 1,437 runs at a strike rate of 136 and 50 wickets at an economy rate of 7.61 from 126 games, took Ziaur Rahman’s place as captain in Chattogram’s lineup.
Imrul Kayes (Comilla Victorians)
Kayes will lead Comilla for consecutive championships in 2022 and 2023. They are now the most successful team in BPL history, having won four titles. He has 3,333 runs at a strike rate of 117 from 163 games.
Saif Hassan (Durdanto Dhaka)
In 2023, Saif was with Barishal. He led Bangladesh to the bronze medal in men’s cricket at the Asian Games later that year, and Dhaka signed him for this year. Out of 34 games, he has 800 runs at 113.
Shakib Al Hasan (Rangpur Riders)
In 2024, Rangpur will be led by Shakib, who captained Barishal the season before. Shakib is the only player in T20 cricket history to have achieved the 6,000 run-400 wicket double, except for Dwayne Bravo and Andre Russell.
Najmul Hossain Shanto (Sylhet Strikers)
Shanto, the 2023 edition’s Player of the Tournament, will take Mashrafe Mortaza’s place as the Sylhet captain. With 120 runs in 129 games, he has 2,866 runs.
Anamul Haque Bijoy (Khulna Tigers)
In 2024, Anamul, a former cricket player from Barishal, will be the captain of Khulna. He has 3,312 runs at 118 from 164 games and 91 dismissals.
