Narrating how they got in touch, Virat Kohli said:

“I was looking at his profile once on Instagram and happened to press the message button. I thought I’d say hello, and then I saw a message from him already.

Let me just check if it’s a fake account. It was legitimate, and we got talking. We keep exchanging messages every now and then, and I congratulate him for all his amazing achievements.

When I got my 50th century, he put a story and sent me a very nice message as well. There is mutual admiration and respect.”
