But their auction wasn’t just about the India keeper but a lot of smart buys as well, that will headline their campaign at IPL 2025. After a rather poor 2024 season, they let go KL Rahul, and will most probably get Rishabh as the skipper, that more than solves their problems.

Hits at IPL Auction 2025
If Mitch Marsh remains fit for the entire IPL 2025, then he could prove to be a game-changer for Sanjiv Goenka’s team. Aiden Markram, the South Africa T20 captain is a real steal at 2 Cr, and could pair well with his countryman David Miller, who is a sure-shot starter.
Misses at IPL Auction 2025
Truth be told, their batting is the stronger suit and have a few gaps in their bowling department. They have bowlers who are injury-prone — be it spinners or pacers. They retained Mayank and Mohsin, who might not sustain the rigours of a full season. In spinners their most experienced bet is Ravi Bishnoi — their most experienced overall.
