Pakistan revealed their playing XI for the 1st T20 against the Kiwis in the five-match NZ vs PAK series on Friday. Led by Shaheen Afridi, the Men in Green will kick start their T20 World Cup 2024 preparations with this series.
NZ vs PAK 1st T20I: Afridi-led Pakistan’s playing XI out
Young Saim Ayub, who earlier made his Test debut in Australia, will make his T20I debut in the game. Azam Khan has been named the side’s wicketkeeper while the usual suspects – Babar Azam, Fakhar Zaman, Ifthikar Ahmed – will be the middle-order batters.

Pakistan’s bowling line-up looks menacing, with Shaheen Afridi leading the pack. The bowling department comprises of Haris Rauf, Aamir Jamal, Usama Mir, Abbas Afridi and the skipper himself.
