Australia’s David Warner retired triumphantly from both Test and ODIs, having sealed both formats with a win in the AUS vs PAK and World Cup 2023 respectively. The veteran has been the first-choice opener for the Aussies for nearly a decade now. Now after his retirement, it looks like the southpaw is ready for yet another role – coach.
Coach Warner soon?
Speaking to Fox Cricket, Warner expressed his ambition to become a coach. The opener said that he had ambitions later down the track to potentially coach. He added that it would be a decision for him to make after consulting his family.
“Yeah, I’ve got ambitions later down the track to potentially coach,” Warner told ‘Fox Cricket’.
“I’ll have to speak with the wife first to see if I’m allowed a few more days away.”

In a triumphant farewell, Warner expressed his joy and pride as Australia sealed a comprehensive 3-0 series victory against Pakistan at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG). Warner, who is retiring from Test cricket, lauded the team’s exceptional achievements over the past 18 months, including the World Test Championship win, a drawn Ashes series, and triumph in the World Cup.
