The India Cricket Team has sacrificed IND vs AFG series for the upcoming ING vs ENG 5-match Test series. Team India has opted for a young and inexperienced side against the Pathans. The mainstays of the team, i.e Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj have been rested for the crucial IND vs ENG series.
India have opted for Arshdeep Singh, Mukesh Kumar and Avesh Khan as the pacer trio for the IND vs AFG 3-match T20I series. Mohammed Shami is also not in the scene as he is recovering from his knee injury post the ODI World Cup.

India despite fielding a strong squad for the T20I series have kept a rather weak bowling attack against Afghanistan. After a the herocis against the Proteas in 2-match Test series, both Bumrah and Siraj have been rested from the series.
Instead the focus is shifted to the upcoming 5-match Test series against England slated to begin from 25th Jan. It is no surprise that Bumrah and Siraj will be the mainstays in the India squad for the T20 World Cup, but for this recent series, it is up to the youngsters to prove their worth and potentially fix their place in the team.
