Senior batter Cheteshwar Pujara scored a scintillating double century for Saurashtra against Jharkhand in the Ranji Trophy on Sunday making a case for himself ahead of India’s squad announcement for the England series at home. Cheteshwar Pujara scored a massive 243 in 346 balls with the help of 30 fours as Saurashtra posted a mammoth 543 in the first innings.

Meanwhile, Mumbai’s pacer Mohit Avasthi scalped a 6-wicket haul against Bihar has put his side in a strong position to win the game. Avasthi, who had taken four wickets on Day Two, took two more wickets to finish with a superb haul of six for 27 in 14.5 overs, as Mumbai shot out Bihar for merely 100 to gain a huge 151-run first innings lead. The visitors then decided to enforce the follow on.

Meanwhile, Sai Sudharshan and Ravi Sai Kishore have a tough job in their hands as Tamil Nadu requires 267 runs to win against Gujarat but they have only eight wickets in their hand. In the between Uttar Pradesh and Kerala, UP has consolidated its position after having a score of 219/1 in 62 overs. They are currently leading by 278 runs in the second innings. Sanju Samson and Co. will have to make a strong comeback on Day 4.
