SA20 only next to IPL as CSA retains Rs 15 Cr prize money for winner, Rs 31 Cr prize pool

The reason why Cricket South Africa (CSA) is prioritizing franchise cricket over international cricket is out. The SA20 announced its prize money distribution for the 2024 edition today, with a prize pool worth R70 million (Rs 31.1 crore).

CSA’s marquee tournament is striving to get bigger and better every year. With the winner getting R34 million (Rs 15.1 crore), the league is aiming for the top and currently stands only second to the IPL when it comes to the winner’s prize money.

Apart from this, the SA20 Player of the Season will get R350,000 (Rs 15.57 lakh), the batter and bowler of the season will get R200,000 (Rs 8.9 lakh) each, and the ‘Rookie’ Player of the season will pocket R1,000,000 (Rs 44.5 lakh).
