Ranji Trophy 2024: Tendulkar Jr. fails to impress in first outing against Tripura

The Ranji Trophy 2024 has started with a bang, but the same cannot be said for Arjun Tendulkar, Sachin’s son, who has failed to impress in the first outing of the year. Plying his trade for Goa, first Tendulkar Jr. scored only 11 runs, as his side was bundled out for 135, and picked up two wickets against Tripura, who mounted a total of 484.

Primarily in the side for his bowling, Arjun was a bit on the expensive side, as he gave away 94 runs in 24 overs.

As the match stands now, Tripura have a lead of over 350 runs over Goa, and it looks like, the match will go in their favour, unless something dramatic happens. Sridam Paul (112), scored a ton, while India wicket-keeper Wriddhiman Saha scored 97 to put their team in a strong position.

Arjun Tendulkar First-class Record

In the seven first-class matches Arjun has played, he has only 12 wickets so far, at an average of 45. On the other hand, he has scored 223 runs as well, at an average of 24, with 120 as his highest.
