Melbourne Stars batter Sam Harper was hospitalized after coping a blow on his head during a practice session on January 5 (Friday). The training was called off immediately as the youngster was taken to the hospital immediately. However, the good news is that Sam Harper is in stable condition now.

Sam Harper was hit in the head while batting in the MCG nets. The good news is he’s breathing, in a stable condition and was conscious when he was taken to hospital in an ambulance.

Sam Harper and experienced wicket-keeper and Melbourne Renegades second-leading run scorer from last Big Bash League (BBL) season joined the Melbourne Stars via a trade.

Harper returned to the Stars team after having made his debut for the club in BBL|06. In the last edition, Harper scored 264 runs at an impressive strike rate of 141.87. However, he has failed to replicate his form in the ongoing BBL edition.
