After winning the shortest completed Test match in Newlands, the India cricket team has completed the trifecta of their 2-day Test match wins. Their first-ever win Test match win in Cape Town came in a record two days and helped them claim the record for shortest Test match by balls (642).
Prior to their win in IND vs SA 2nd Test, the India cricket team had won a Test within two days twice. The first instance came in 2018 when they beat Afghanistan in 171.2 overs. The second instance came three years in 2021 against England, bundling them out in 140.2 overs in Ahmedabad.
