Despite repeatedly failing to cement his place in the Indian team, Sanju Samson remains to be a popular figure in country, and is followed by millions. On Wednesday, a video of Samson playing in the football tournament in Kerala went viral, where he could be seen taking shots at the goals, and even corners.
The video was uploaded on X, and garnered much praise from the fans. The post read, “#SanjuSamson playing Football in a local Sevens Tournament”. Later, IPL franchise Rajasthan Royals shared and video, and asked, “Fancy an extra striker in Sanju Samson, @KerlalaBlasters?”.

Meanwhile, Sanju is all set to lead Kerala in the Ranji Trophy this year, as the coveted tournament begins on January 5. Opener Rohan Kunummal has been named the vice-captain, as Kerala play their opening encounter against Uttar Pradesh.
