Israel’s internal spy agency, Shin Bet, has formed a special unit to assassinate Hamas chief Yahya Sinwar, according to a report by Iran’s IRNA news outlet quoting Israeli media. Israel’s spy agency has formed a squad to monitor movements of Sinwar and his team, according to the Channel 12 report. The squad has been actively working round the clock to target him since the start of the Gaza war, the reported added. Sinwar headed the Hamas unit in Gaza before taking over as the Palestinian group’s chief after the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh in July.
