After winning his comeback match against Dominic Thiem at the Brisbane International, Rafael Nadal has claimed that it’s an ’emotional’ for him. Playing his first match after nearly a year, Nadal was firing on all cylinders.
After his straight-sets win in the Round of 32, Rafael Nadal said in his on-court interview:
“Today is an emotional and important day for me. After one of the toughest years of my career, I had the chance to come back after a year and play in front of an amazing crowd. I think at a very positive level. It’s something that makes us feel proud. For all the team and family that’s been there every day the last year.”
