Alyssa Healy & Phoebe Litchfield thrash India Women with record partnership in INDW vs AUSW 3rd ODI

Australian openers Alyssa Healy and Phoebe Litchfield put on a record partnership against India Women in the ongoing INDW vs AUSW 3rd ODI match being played at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. The duo of Healy and Litchfield contributed 186 runs for the opening wicket on Tuesday which is also the highest opening partnership against India Women in ODIs.

Speaking more about the partnership, Alyssa Healy and Litchfield looked positive with the bat as the Indian bowlers were thrashed all around the park. Healy was scalped by Pooja Vastrakar. However, Litchfield went on to complete her century to put her side in a commanding position.

Earlier, Australia Women won the toss and opted to have a bat first. “We will have a bat first. Looks pretty dry, we played on this one in the first ODI. Darcie Brown is missing out and Megan Schutt is coming back after a niggle. We don’t like losing, so, yes, 3-0 is what we are looking forward to but we can’t underestimate this strong Indian team,” said Healy after the toss.
