Indian fans lashed out at Rohit Sharma and Co. after a disappointing outing in the IND vs SA 1st Test. Playing South Africa in Centurion, Indian batters had no answers to the quality of Proteas pace attack. The Indian bowling department was defused by veteran Dean Elgar who scored an excellent 185 to give the home team a strong lead in the first innings.

IND vs SA 1st Test: Review

Speaking about the match, South Africa won the toss and invited India to have a bat first. KL Rahul stroked an excellent century for the visitors as they finished on 245 runs in their innings. Kagiso Rabada scalped a five-wicket haul in the first innings.

In reply, Elgar stroked a magnificent 185 to help the home side breach the 400-run mark. Ace pacer Jasprit Bumrah scalped four wickets for his side.

Coming out to bat in the second innings, youngsters Shubman Gill and Yashasvi Jaiswal failed to impress once again. Centurion from the first innings, Rahul also got out cheaply. Kohli fought the lone battle in the second innings as he scored 76 runs with India losing the match by an innings and 32 runs.
