After losing their mentor, Gary Kirsten, the Gujarat Titans have now also lost their head coach, Ashish Nehra, before the IPL 2025 season. The mastermind behind their consecutive IPL final runs in 2022 and 2023 isn’t looking to continue his role. He’s not the only one to leave the franchise, as director of cricket Vikram Solanki looks to part ways with the Titans as well.
As one former Indian star moves on, the Gujrat Titans may have roped in another one as his replacement. Nehra’s teammate and good friend, Yuvraj Singh, is being considered as the next head coach. However, nothing is finalized right now, and someone else might take over Nehra’s current role.
“Lot of changes on the cards. Ashish Nehra and Vikram Solanki are highly likely to move on and discussions around Yuvraj Singh have already begun. Nothing is finalised right now but there could be some major changes in the coaching staff of the Gujarat Titans,” says a source told News18.
