We had nothing to achieve: Harmanpreet Kaur takes a dig at former head coach Ramesh Powar

Team India skipper Harmanpreet Kaur took a dig at the former head coach Ramesh Powar ahead of the India vs Australia one-off Test starting from December 21 onwards. Speaking in a press conference, Harmanpreet Kaur lauded team India’s current coach Amol Muzumdar as she said that things have really changed since Muzumdar has joined the Indian camp.

After a long time we are preparing like this. Before that, we never got a feeling that we are trying to achieve something during practice. But things have changed since sir (Amol Muzumdar) has joined us. He is very specific about things and helps us how to handle match situations and do well for the team,” said Harmanpreet in a video uploaded by BCCI.

Earlier, Harmanpreet Kaur had denied about a possible rift between her and Ramesh Powar. After being at the position of the head coach for India Women, Powar was shifted to National Cricket Academy (NCA) as the spin coach last year.

Well, it’s nothing like that. I’ve always enjoyed working with Ramesh sir whenever I got an opportunity. We have learnt a lot from him and grown as a team. It’s the BCCI’s decision who’s moved to NCA. He will work there as the spin coach, and whenever we’ll go to NCA, Ramesh sir is always available,” Harmanpreet had said earlier.
